Our History

First opened in 1919, Gustine Market has continuously operated as a neighborhood market for almost 100 years.
Gustine Market was recently renovated to continue to serve the Tower Grove South and surrounding neighborhoods.
Over the years, the market's products have varied from meat and dry goods, to shaved ice and sandwiches.
Today a variety of soda, juices, milk, ice, bread, snacks, wine and beer, and candy are for sale. The market also carries a wide variety of local products and offers on-going events such and other special engagements.

Our Grand Re-Opening in 2009
![]() Gustine Market to Re-Open in Tower Grove Heights I was looking at a house for sale in the beautiful Tower Grove Heights neighborhood yesterday and noticed some activity in the old Gustine Market building and noticed the old awning was up again.
The building was undergoing a nice transformation and new coolers and equipment were being added. For years, the Gustine Market was a great little "quick shop" with so many useful things. We didn't need to leave the neighborhood. The only problem was that it really seemed unsanitary in there. The place was a wreck. Now that has all been rectified. |
